2026 – Daauw Home – Restaurant & Accommodation – Important Updates

Welcome all !     Kajsiab Laos is a training restaurant, homestay and organic farm from the ethnic villages in the valleys and mountains of Laos. Due to a very much needed renovation of the restaurant terrace we welcome you in the first months of 2026 to come and visit us:

Restaurant Daauw Home A La Carte Menu is unavailable at the moment (we are busy with renovations)

• We would however love you to join us for a Family meal for 150.000 LAK at Daauw Village, this is available during our renovations.
• This is a great way to enjoy our family and learn our way of life, we traditionally live in our mountain villages.
• IMPORTANT Please let us know an hour or 2 hours before, if you plan to join us as we make all our food fresh and on woodfire, there could be delays at the moment if you just turn up.

Homestay Daauw Home (the separate huts) are closed for renovations

• Although the usual huts are unavailable due to renovations, you are welcome to stay with us in our Volunteer house for 100.000 LAK, this unique experience is available during renovations.
  • Perfect if you would like to know how it feels to sleep like we do in our villages
  • learn more about our community way of life.

Luckily we have the strong guidance of Bounchan who survived surgery and has been declared clear by the doctors.  As you understand we are all very releived and HAPPY and everybody is now working together with a big smile on their face.

Women, children and teenage families stay at Kajsiab Shelter to recover, learn new skills and create new ways of earning income for their families. Kajsiab Shelter supports the mothers and their children to get education, food, housing and above all a safe base to start a new beginning.

You are welcome to stay or visit any time - We have availability at most times.

We focus on cultural exchange,  the people from the villages staying at the Shelter are eager to learn about people, their stories, other cultures and countries.

Among daily life activities the women and their families focus on

• Kajsiab Women's artwork and skills to ensure new sources of income for their families
•  Kajsiab Education Fun
• Self Sustainability
• Cultural exchange activities
• Walk-in Home for ethnic villages during their hospital stay so they are nearby to family members for food/housing

We have a beautiful restaurant setting with CAMPFIRE at the Terrace where you can relax and discuss travel plans,

• only a 2 minute walk from GE office, guesthouses, restaurants and ATM.
• We are right above the main street, only a 2 minute walk.
• Walk up the main temple stairs and then turn down the allery to to the left the SECOND restaurant you see is homestay Daauw Home.
