Crisis Kajsiab Shelter October 2020
Update Kajsiab Shelter in Laos October 2020:
We are by now in serious trouble and there is a chance that all children will have to quit school and that Kajsiab Shelter will have to close its doors.
Setting up the new self-sustaining activities takes a lot of time and is very difficult online.
We work day and night to launch activities and realize new forms of income, but it is really hard.
The women gather food from different fields to have at least some vergetables, but rice and monthly bills are a huge problem.
In the Netherlands, the founder of Kajsiab is now living like the monks in Laos; getting food from friends and family, second hand interior and second-hand clothing to be able to continue her work. That is so very special that people keep doing this in these challenging times and we are so grateful.
