aaaNai arrived in Kajsiab Shelter about 18 months ago. She ran away from her home situation. Her first 6 months were very difficult. She had a lot to deal with and trauma’s to overcome.

After those first months Nai slowly loosened up. She laughed sometimes a little and helped out more and more in Daauw Home. She told us she really wanted to go back to school. After some meetings with the local schools we found out she did not have the right papers from previous schools and it was not possible for her to start high school at her age. Nai decided that then she wanted to go to sewing school. Thanks to a small group of generous loving volunteers she could start her sewing school.

Nai opened up more and more and became a string minded young woman who knows exactly what she wants and how she wants it. She is helping out day and night at Daauw Home and just finished her sewing school. How she is dreaming about having her own shop with her own clothes.

To learn more business skills she will help to launch the second phase of the Women’s Workplace and she is in charge of teaching the other women to sew.

Nai is laughing every day now.
